Crochet Handmade with Love Tags and Labels for Gifts

If you love crocheting gifts, these cute handmade tags will make the perfect final touch for them! Below you will find the all the links to download and print them for free!

One of my favorite things to do when gifting something to someone is packaging it up and making it super special! I love all the little details and special touches you can do when wrapping up a gift and having a cute little tag is one of them!

These printable tags are great for any handmade gifts - especially the ones made with yarn!

Each small tag measures roughly 2" x 2.5" with a circle template on top to hole punch. Simply cut out the tag, hole punch, and then add twine, ribbon, or yarn to attach it to your gift! Takes just a few minutes, but adds such a special touch to your handmade gift!

Down below I have a handful of different types of tags available for you to print! I will keep adding more throughout the year with different themes so you will have a variety to choose from!

Simply click on the description of the tags listed below that you would like to view/print. This will open up the file and you will be able to print as many as you'd like! Enjoy!

Mattress Stitch Video Tutorial

Learn how to use the mattress stitch for seaming two pieces of crochet together with the video tutorial below!

The mattress stitch is a popular method of sewing two pieces of crochet (or knit) together, especially for garments.

Seaming two pieces of crochet together can be scary especially when you've never done it before! I'm here to tell you, no matter what method of sewing you use - don't be scared! Once you get the hang of it, it becomes very easy.

Although there are many methods of seaming, the mattress stitch is a popular way to seam up garments and for good reason!

After seaming your pieces together, you will find that the join is very flat and the seam is pretty invisible. This method is good to use particularly on the shoulders of garments as you don't want any noticeable seaming especially on an area that can be very noticeable.

In the video below, I will show you the basics of the mattress stitch. At 2:40 minutes in, I will show you how I sew two sides together where you are seaming the sides of the rows together.

As you can see, the mattress stitch is very easy! Take your time and be sure to line up all your edges appropriately to get the best results.

How to Attach a Pom Pom to a Crochet/Knit Hat

Learn how to attach a faux fur pom pom to your crochet and knit hats securely! In this video tutorial, I will show you how I attach my pom poms to my hats to avoid any wobbling and to make sure they are very secure.
Do you love to use faux fur pom poms to finish off your crochet and knit hats?! I do!

I've been using poms for quite some time now and at first when I bought them and used them, I was often disappointed because they would just bobble around on the top of my hats! Was I putting them on incorrectly? Or was I just buying poor quality pom poms?

I have boughten from several hand made faux fur pom pom makers and while there is a difference between quality made pom poms and.. not quality made, I find that most pom poms will always produce a bit of wobble on the top of your hat unless you secure those suckers down correctly.

With some pom poms, I had no trouble adding them on to the hat how a lot of YouTube tutorials taught me. Pull the strings through the top, tighten them with a knot, and weave in your ends. Ta-da!  That was easy. For some of the pom poms, they sat pretty well on my hat but could use a bit of securing.

But wait, why is this one wobbling and bobbling around like it's not even attached?

The explanation? When you attach pom poms to your hat this way, the pom pom is basically sitting on your hat at one (very small) area on your hat.  This will make the pom pom wobble all over especially if it's a larger pom pom.

Solution? Create a wider base for the pom pom to sit on the hat. After the pom pom is secured (somewhat) onto your hat with the steps I talked about above, you will need to further sew on the pom pom.

You will want to grab a needle and go up through the hat and the pom pom and back down to create a bigger base for it to sit on and to make it more stable.

This video shows you step by step how I secure all of my pom poms onto my crochet and knitted hats. I hope this helps you attach your fur poms onto your hats and that you get the outcome you are looking for!
